Mark has been delivering guitar lessons at Salterforth Primary School since March 2017. The lessons are paid for privately by parents at £4 for 30 minute group session. After a promotional taster session with every child in the school, the interest and uptake was remarkable with 25 pupils opting to be involved. The Pupils bring in their own guitar or use one of the 4 school guitars for these lessons.
Mark has been providing these weekly classes for 12 months now and the improvement in the sandard of guitar playing has progressed well. At the end of the year, the pupils have performed a mini concert to showcase their learning and skills.
Mark was recommended by a colleague at the schoolwho knew mark from years before. He has been a professional musician from the early 80,s to the present day. He plays electric, acoustic and bass guitar.
Mark is DBS checked, has public liability insurance, has H & S certificate for workplace experience placements and is a member of the Musicians Union.
I have found Mark to be reliable, punctual, capable and well-presented and I feel he would be able to provide a similar guitar tuition service in other schools.
